About Grubs
A British success story, crafting the finest footwear since 1776 with innovation, comfort, and quality at our core.
From the north of Canada to the southern tip of New Zealand, Grubs boots are trusted worldwide for their exceptional quality and innovation.
My family have lived in Bolton for over six generations, though we can trace them further back to Nottingham. Most people in the local area know of us: My great grandfather's factory at the bottom of Deane Road, My grandfather's shop on Mornington Road, opposite Bolton Grammar School.
More widely known is the company founded by my uncle and father, Reebok. I started to work there in 1983 and handmade shoes for world record breaking athletes, designed running shoes, tennis, and cricket shoes, even their first range of football boots tested by the team at Bolton Wanderers.
Today, Grubs® has become the only British, family-owned maker of rubber boots, and it's something we're rather proud of.
